En EV can be a very economical choice compared to an intermediary gas car, if you drive over 20 000 km annually and keep the car for at least 5 years.
My own experience is very interesting … I drive about 40 000 km per year, and since I am often on the road with my Chevy Volt, I register about 60% in battery mode and 40% in gas mode. After 3 years (which is still a rather short period car-wise), I have already SAVED $ 2 200. I have calculated that if I keep the Volt for 10 years, my savings will add up to $ 28 900!
